EEP EEP EEP EP is the concept album made entirely using alarms.
An independent art project by Rajeev Basu.
This is an experiment to explore if we can turn one of society's most despised sounds, the sound of alarms, into music that people might actually enjoy.
The project kicked off with the release of the EEP EEP EEP EP concept album.
This gave people a taster of what's possible.
We're now opening up the project to the world.

The prizes
For every track submitted, Rajeev will create a 1/1 artwork inspired by it.
These art pieces will be created as submissions are received*.
The three most inventive alarm-tracks will be turned into sound-sculpture installations, which we aim to exhibit in 2012. The winners will also receive a range of Soundcloud prizes.

About the artist
Rajeev Basu is an artist from London, England.
His body of work includes a piece for the world famous V&A museum in London. Last year he launched the 'Impossible Lamp' sculpture. A lamp made of wax, that works without melting.
He has also worked as a creative at some of the world's top ad agencies. During that time he has received over 50 awards. | | |  |

| Notes, terms and conditions
Do not send your remix directly to the artist or label. Take your time... early entries will not be given priority. You must only use the alarms included in the pack. Entries with other sounds will be disqualified. Master your track but keep a raw version so we may master it, if it is a winning entry. No legal recourse. The judges' decisions are final. There is no cash alternative and the prize is non-transferable.
*Rajeev Basu will endeavour to turn around artworks in a timely manner as submissions are received. In the event of an overwhelming number of submissions, at times of high traffic, or matters out of our control - tracks will be placed into a queue, and artworks will be produced as soon as possible. We also reserve the right to forgoe the creation of an artwork for a submission at our discretion.
The artist shall mean the person who submits the work. Copyright will remain at all times vested with artist. The artist will grant us the non-exclusive royalty free right to display their submission on multiple platforms both on and offline. All alarm sounds in the download pack are open source and royalty free. | |
